I met Terra through the yoga community, as she used to be a teacher at Bend Yoga downtown, and I knew from the beginning that her wedding was going to be one of my favorites. While barn weddings are all the hype right now, Terra & Chris's barn wedding was special because it took place at her family's farm (so appropriately located on Love Road), the farm where she grew up, the farm where her parents still live, and while most brides are relaxing and primping the week of their wedding, Terra and Chris were busy shoveling horse manure and deep cleaning the barn for their guests up until the day of the wedding! So to say this party was a labor of love is an understatement. In lieu of a traditional bridal party, they had a group of around 20 close friends deemed "Team Calderber" (a combination of their two last names) who helped with all the wedding prep. As with all weddings, things don't always go as planned - about ten minutes before the ceremony, the ring bearer, Terra's little nephew, accidentally lost her wedding band (you will see below right after group photos everyone on the ground searching for it) - but she remained the calmest bride I've ever seen, just going with the flow and using a replacement for the ceremony. The whole night was filled with so much joy, laughter, and fun. They had a taco bar, pinata, fireworks - basically, all the keys to an amazing night. Congratulations you two, and thank you for letting me part of your special day! xo
Alyssa & Brad are the kind of couple you just know adore each other so much. They asked me if they should slow dance like they do in their kitchen...I mean, could you make my job any easier? And can we talk about Alyssa's amazing hair? I think we all have a little hair envy here. PS. We survived probably about 30 mosquito bites each for this session - oh, the things we do for photos and good locations!
The streets of Hanoi are a photographer's dream. Interesting things on every corner - vibrant life, a clear French influence, people carrying the ridiculously large things on scooters and bikes, and delicious food...the last stop on our honeymoon did not disappoint! Playing around with some black and white and of course the beautiful colors of this busy city.
